This LG refrigerator stood out during our tests. french door refrigerator freezer has plenty of space to serve a family, but we found a few annoying issues. The drawers for the freezer aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer was 41 degrees during our highest test of use which is warm enough for ice cream and other frozen items. The temperature of the rest of the freezer remained at around 36 degrees.
Another issue is that refrigerator doors have sunken handles both on the inside and under, which make it hard for those who are smaller to move them closed. It may seem trivial, but we prefer front-mounted handles on refrigerators, which make them easier to open and shut.
The refrigerator is pricey, but worth it for anyone who wants an elegant look for their kitchen. This refrigerator is ideal for those looking to upgrade their current refrigerator or those who are building new homes and want a seamless look in the kitchen.
Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The RF23M8090SG is Samsung's newest and fanciest counter-depth French door refrigerator that retails at $4,200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also performed well in our cooling tests, but we're not a fan of its plastic handles and the crisper bins feel a little flimsy.
One thing that makes the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line, which lets you customize your fridge by removing colored panels that can be swapped out whenever you get tired of the ones you have currently. There are 11 color options, from soft pastels to brighter hues and four metallic finishes. Some of the panels can be customized with photos or text which makes the fridge a personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
You can even alter the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is pretty. The interior of the refrigerator has a sleek finish that minimizes the appearance of smudges and makes cleaning simpler. The only real drawbacks of the RF23M8090SG is its crowded beverage center, as well as it takes some effort to access the door-indoor feature that houses a water dispenser and the pitcher. You have to feel for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door halfway across, and once you do you will be able to open another door inside the fridge, which houses the docking station for pitchers along with the water dispenser as well as two shelves for drinks.
The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is large enough to store a wide range of frozen food items and features an impressive slide-out drawer that allows you to access the food item you're looking for without opening the entire compartment. The freezer also has an open-air compartment that can be used to store small items and a huge capacity storage drawer that can store larger frozen items. This drawer is locked with a password, ensuring that any unwanted guests are kept out. It also has an LED that lets you see what's inside at a glance. The freezer can also track the use of energy and help reduce your energy bill by using the SmartThings Energy Mode.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
French door refrigerators give a clean look to any kitchen, and are a good fit in a variety of room sizes. If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this style without the additional height, a counter-depth refrigerator is the best choice. This Frigidaire model that we've extensively tested and received an above-average rating in our evaluations due to its reasonable price and thoughtful features such as an adjustable temperature drawer.
It also has some annoying issues. Our test data suggests that the FGHB2866PF can warm up quite a lot in the freezer and get uncomfortable hot in the hottest shelves of the fridge. Our heat maps show how the temperature changes minute by minute. The orange area in the upper right corner, which is the butter bin, is especially warm throughout our time of testing. This might not seem too bad at first but it's a sign that the fridge is spending a large part of the time at 33 degrees.
It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be important for some buyers. But the real problem here is that it's not a particularly great fridge, and the lack of top-of-the-line features and durable construction make it hard to recommend over more expensive options in this price range.
This Frigidaire refrigerator is like the stainless steel version that you may see in the local appliance store. It's a safe option with a smooth finish that looks great and is impervious to smudges, but it does not do much to set itself apart from competitors with more features and cost less.
If you're looking for a counter-depth french-door refrigerator but don't want to spend a lot of money the FGHC2331PF could be worth a look. It has enough storage space for many families, and does a decent job keeping food fresh. And even if it isn't an energy-efficient model, it won't even come close to costing the same amount as our top-rated models do.
